This is the unfinished animatic for a would-be animation called Pygmaleon’s Statue. The story for the animation is based on Ovid’s tale on the eponymous Greek sculpture who falls in love with a statue of his own making. In Greek literature Pygmaleon (and Narcissus) are the personification of ego, self idolization and masculine desire, which I felt would be an interesting backdrop for a modern interpretation of the story in the form of animation.
